AircraftLogs.com, is a Columbus-based aviation company, which has developed  a complete technology product suite aimed at both the owner flown and business aviation marketplace.  Founded in 2005, the company has made excellent progress in penetrating both of these markets, and is rapidly becoming a recognized industry leader.   The maintenance, flight department, expense management, financial reporting and tax solutions offered by AircraftLogs have been met with great enthusiasm in the marketplace, providing immediate growth opportunities for the company. 


AquaBlok Ltd., is a Toledo materials manufacturing company that has developed patented bentonite-based composite material technology which can address a wide range of water and chemical control applications in geotechnical, mining and environmental markets.  The product is a composite resembling small stones, which are composed of a dense aggregate core, bentonite clay or similar materials, and polymers.  AquaBlok particles expand when hydrated, creating a mass that transforms into a continuous and relatively soft body of material, which acts as an effective physical, hydraulic, and chemical barrier.


Cambiatta LLC, based in Cincinnati, is commercializing an innovative, proprietary product for interfacing cycle computers and heart rate monitors (HRM) to personal computers. It is targeted at the 19 million time-constrained, professional adults in the U.S. who are actively involved in multi-sport fitness programs. This is a high-income, well-educated market growing segment that is highly identifiable and eager to adopt products that deliver greater results in less time.


ClearSaleing Inc., based in Dublin, OH,  is addressing the limitations of currently available systems and leveraging the enormous potential of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising by creating an end-to-end trading and sales system for Internet advertisers. The Clear Saleing system delivers sales effectiveness, ad-spend optimization, enhanced profitability, and lower costs by allowing advertisers to effectively plan, execute, measure, and optimize PPC advertising throughout the sales cycle and across campaigns and search engines.


CleveX Inc. is an early stage medical device company that is developing and marketing skin biopsy, closure and repair solutions for the dermatology, cosmetic surgery and primary care physicians. CleveX (LLC) started out in 2004 as a joint venture between Cleveland Clinic Foundation (Cleveland, OH) and IDx Medical Design (Cincinnati, OH) to develop and commercialize surgical dermatology and skin repair innovations generated by leading physicians at the Cleveland Clinic.  The company’s lead technology platform is the ExiClip®.  The ExiClip is a single-step, disposable surgical device that efficiently excises a skin lesion while simultaneously closing and repairing the surgical site. 


The Drop Spot, Ltd., headquartered in Columbus, OH, provides outsourced "Trade-In/Trade-Up" services for retailers and manufacturers to increase revenue. Trade-In/Trade-Up programs allow customers to unlock the value of their pre-owned items and exchange them for new merchandise purchases or retail store credit. The Drop Spot facilitates the extraction of value through proprietary technology, business processes and key strategic partnerships to sell the pre-owned items, maximizing value for both the retailer or manufacturer and its customer base.

Exacter, Inc., based in Columbus, is a diagnostic service provider that enables electric utilities to proactively avoid power outages.  Distribution reliability is the top industry problem.  Their service is marketed as Intelligence-Based Preventive Maintenance™ which is based upon mobile EXACTER™ surveying instrumentation units connected to a web portal via cellular communications.  EXACTER units require no new rolling stock, new personnel, training, or capital expenditures for the customer.  The utility maintenance dispatchers use the web portal to access data that locates failing equipment and its fault severity — Maintenance Merit™ — in a timely manner for the purpose of setting priorities for work crews to replace or repair failing equipment.


HTP Inc., located in Columbus, develops software for the healthcare industry that improves efficiency, profitability and service quality for hospitals, insurance companies, physician groups, managed care organizations, third-party administrators and public sector health plans. The company's software also enables secure information exchange through Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs).


InsightETE, is a Columbus based provider of technology solutions that measure and troubleshoot IT system performance by monitoring the flow of information to and from IT users. By measuring both availablity and response time across all platforms and systems in near real time, their clients can track service levels, reduce outages and improve customer satisfaction. InsightETE also measures business efficiency by monitoring the performance of all steps in any business process.


Interventional Imaging Inc. (I3), is a medical device company focused on the detection and treatment of vulnerable plaque in the coronary arteries of the heart. I3 was formed by Case Western Reserve University and is based on novel technologies developed in the Department of Radiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland.


Midwest MicroDevices LLC (MMD) is a Toledo-based manufacturer for the fast-growing MEMS market.  Micro-electro-mechanical systems or MEMS are tiny silicon sensors and actuators fabricated with thin-film processes similar to those used in silicon chip manufacture.  With its dedicated clean-room facilities, MMD serves the market as a Silicon Foundry, focusing entirely on the manufacture of customer products using its specialized thin-film process capabilities.  The MEMS market is large and fast-growing, with $7+ billion in 2005 world-wide sales and a projection to reach $10 billion by 2008.  MMD seeks volume growth applications in Instrumentation, Telecom, Biomedical, and Aerospace/DoD. 


Minimally Invasive Devices LLC (MID) is a medical device company that develops innovative products that facilitate and simplify Minimally Invasive Surgery. Surgery performed through less invasive access is the dominant growth opportunity in all surgical disciplines and is highly dependent upon the development of clever devices that enable difficult surgical maneuvers or allow them to be performed by more surgeons. MID will develop as its first two products Clear-Vu, a device to improve visualization during laparoscopic surgery, and Clear-Path, a device to facilitate the removal of kidney stones from the ureter. MID will continue to develop products that apply existing engineering technology to unmet needs in minimally invasive surgery through the principles of shape and access.


NanoStatics LLC, based in Circleville, Ohio is opening the door to the commercial use of nanomaterials through their high throughput nanofiber production technology. Their proprietary approach allows practical use of nanofibers in non-wovens, filters, medical and surgical dressings and wipes, packaging, drug scaffolding, fuel cells, composites and textiles. NanoStatics offers development services, equipment design, fabrication and installation, and in house manufacturing capacity. They have found that the utilization of nanofibers below 500 nanometers in diameter can provide significant performance advantages in solid/liquid, solid/gas, liquid/gas, and liquid/liquid separation processes.     


PreEmptive Solutions LLC initially provided consulting and training services from their Cleveland location for the Java programming platform, while publishing authoritative Java reference materials. Discerning a need to secure code from hackers, PreEmptive developed and introduced products that enable developers to implement Microsoft’s .NET and Java applications that are more secure against reverse engineering. Additionally, the Company has an “in-the-box” marketing position within Microsoft’s Visual Studio platform and is developing significant new products.


SageQuest LLC,  utilizing GPS technology, provides an affordable solution to help companies nationwide manage their mobile workforce; tracking vehicles in real time and delivering minute-by-minute information plots. Business owners can track their installers, technicians, delivery personnel, sales team-anyone operating one of the company vehicles. The SageQuest solution also helps with stolen vehicle recovery and may help to decrease insurance premiums. SageQuest means cost-savings, improved efficiency and peace of mind for business owners around the country.


SealPak Innovations Inc., headquartered in Marion, markets a patent-pending weight-adding device, called ShurTrax, which safely enhances vehicle traction. ShurTrax uses water in a rugged double-lined vinyl bladder which: adds 340 pounds over the rear wheels of the vehicle; includes baffling to prevent sloshing; and installs in 5 to 7 minutes with a garden hose. The product is sold in more than 750 truck-accessory and auto-parts stores, and also direct through the Company website.
