AquaBlok Ltd., is a Toledo materials manufacturing company that has developed patented bentonite-based composite material technology which can address a wide range of water and chemical control applications in geotechnical, mining and environmental markets.  The product is a composite resembling small stones, which are composed of a dense aggregate core, bentonite clay or similar materials, and polymers.  AquaBlok particles expand when hydrated, creating a mass that transforms into a continuous and relatively soft body of material, which acts as an effective physical, hydraulic, and chemical barrier.
