The Ohio TechAngels (“OTA”) provide investment
capital for commercialization of innovations in life sciences, information
technology and physical sciences. The goal of all of our Funds is to support
Ohio-based technology investment opportunities by facilitating risk
sharing on early opportunities with high upside potential. The Fund
actively seeks to co-invest with:
- OTA Members and their networks
- State of Ohio supported validation funds
- Midwest angel funds
- Venture capital funds active in Ohio
Fund I has been fully invested and is no longer seeking new opportunities.
Fund II is seeking Ohio-based opportunities in life sciences,
information technology, and physical sciences but will also consider
investing in consumer retail, distribution and innovative service
businesses. However, OTA has little interest in the following:
- Businesses in the restaurant, travel or lodging industries
- Products or services focused on fashions, fads, toys or seasonal
concepts
- Commercial real-estate, oil or gas projects
