BioOhio,
formerly Omeris,
founded in 1986 as Edison BioTechnology Center, is a non-profit
organization designed to build and accelerate bioscience industry,
research, and education in Ohio. As Ohio's bioscience membership and
development organization, they are focused on networking the
distributed and outstanding bioscience assets of Ohio to promote
regional, national, and global best of class competitiveness and
growth.
TechColumbus,
formed in 2005, is the result of a merger between Columbus
Technology Council (CTC), the Business Technology Center (BTC)
and a collaborative relationship with the Science and Technology
Campus Corporation (Scitech). TechColumbus works with the
business community, the public sector, research institutions and
entrepreneurs to identify and advance technology based economic
initiatives, eliminate barriers to collaberation and secure
financial and other resources needed to accelerate technology-driven
economic development.
